There is no hw raid controller inside. Select the drive icon and hit command+e. I've also seen both in the apple retail stores.

Both simply present 2 separate drives to the os. You can go all the way up to 24tb for $1600. I wanted to use it as additional storage and then it's second disk as back up to its first (so i guess this this would be a mirrored situation). Both simply present 2 separate drives to the os.
